The Roberto Rocca Education Program marked its third year in Mexico in a series of ceremonies for the 2009 Master and Bachelor scholarship winners from 16 leading Mexican universities. Ceremonies were held in Veracruz, Morelia, Monterrey y Ciudad de México.

In Veracruz, Dan Krishock, Program Director referred to the Mexican component of the program: “The scholarships winners we recognizing today are students of proven academic excellence with a strong industrial vocation, the same as other students around the world that receive this award. The Roberto Rocca Education Program represents our continuing commitment to contribute to the professional training of talented young men and women whom we hope will go on to contribute to the development of their own communities".

Summing up the sentiments of many of this year’s winners, Saraí Núñez, a student at the Universidad de Monterrey, commented: "I am grateful towards those who made this scholarships available to students with the desire to excel and make a difference in our country”.
